Goat Blocks
Four distinct apartment communities conveniently connected to desirable retail in Portland's Central Eastside. The Goat Blocks offers a place to live and gather.
Connecting Neighbors and Residents
With the Goat Blocks, we set out to create a place that would bring the residents and the extended neighborhood together. We incorporated pedestrian alleys and wide-open plazas to encourage everything from impromptu chats with friends over coffee to larger community events like concerts or farmer’s markets.
Living the Good Life
Life at the Goat Blocks is anything but cookie-cutter. 347 units are spread across four unique apartment buildings, each with their own energy and identity. Common to the four buildings is a grand and welcoming community room perfect for game nights and shuffleboard tournaments. This room also leads to a rooftop deck that overlooks the downtown Portland skyline. Daily sunrises and sunsets come standard. And a fully-equipped fitness center is available to all residents 24/7.
From Point A to Z
Apartment living is about more than just the apartment itself – easy access to transportation is key and The Goat Blocks has it. This property boasts a near-perfect bike-ability score of 96, a walkability score of 93, and the bus stop for two different bus lines is just steps away. A ten-minute walk to the Eastbank Esplanade makes it easy for residents to sneak in a run along the water and visit Portland’s west side.
Right out your front door
Location is important, but convenience is everything. Residents and neighbors here have everything they need within a 10-minute walk. Market of Choice has groceries covered and Roseline Coffee Roasters, Schilling Cider taproom, and Kachka provide great food and drink. Services like Banfield Pet Hospital and Columbia Credit Union provide an added convenience residents truly appreciate. Thoughtfully blended apartment homes and retail experiences make the Goat Blocks an incredible community to call home.
The More You Make of It
The Goat Blocks is more than just four buildings, it is a community. One of our main goals with this project was to make it easier for people to make connections. We did this by welcoming in the neighbors who live nearby, by creating vibrant multi-functional spaces, and by making daily life more effortless and more rewarding – for tenants, for neighbors, for retailers, for everyone. The heart of this place is the people, and when you visit the Goat Blocks, you can feel it.
