The Jackstraw is a mixed-use development that aims to harmonize with the character of Bend while pushing the city’s landscape forward through artful design, sustainability, and positive social impact. The Jackstraw will proudly stand as Bend’s first LEED Platinum multi-family project and boasts extensive native plantings, pollinator-friendly greenspaces, and several bee hives on-site.

Spanning a 4.7-acre site at Industrial Way and Lava Road, The Jackstraw is ideally located between The Old Mill District and Downtown Bend and is adjacent to Bend’s beloved Box Factory retail center. The building will include 313 thoughtfully designed units offering a mix of apartments homes that cater to a diverse community of Bend residents. The ground floor will feature 17,500 square feet of retail, providing a vibrant hub for local shops, restaurants, and services.

A new expansive “Woonerf”, Dutch for living street, will be shared by pedestrians, bicyclists, and low-speed motor vehicles, and an outdoor public plaza adjacent to the Woonerf will feature an interactive public art installation – providing a unique destination to gather, connect, and inspire.  This dynamic streetscape will link the existing Box Factory with The Jackstraw and present the ability to close a section of Lava Road, between the two properties, for events, concerts, markets, and more.

The Jackstraw’s proximity to the Deschutes River, and the many outdoor recreation opportunities in Central Oregon, presents a prime location that invites residents to live at the crossroads of Bend and all things adventure.

The Jackstraw is currently under construction and targeting a full delivery in the fall of 2025.
