Joel oversees and optimizes our workplace, making sure that our team has the information and tools they need to do their jobs efficiently and be well at work.

Joel joined Killian Pacific after an 8-year career managing programs and facilities in the indoor climbing industry. Joel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and applies his background in customer experience and sustainable business practices to create a positive and responsibly-run workplace. He successfully weaves together Killian Pacific’s values and social impact pillars to elevate daily operations and the employee experience.

Joel remains an avid climber and coaches both youth and adult athletes and volunteers with USA Climbing in his spare time. He currently resides in North Portland with his partner, Anna, and their dog Jasper.
