Director of Social Impact & Sustainability

As Director of Social Impact & Sustainability at Killian Pacific, Nicole works across all aspects of Killian Pacific to help integrate and activate our vision to be the most community-driven, socially impactful, placemaker in the region.

Nicole feels a deep commitment to advancing the collective needs of our community in her work to progress, change, and find solutions for social and environmental challenges. Her combined experience and education span public, nonprofit, and private sectors, and share her approach to creating a shared value for stakeholders. She thrives on identifying and nurturing connections among people and organizations. She currently serves on the Oregon Community Foundation Metro Advisory Council and an advisory committee for childcare in real estate.

Before joining Killian Pacific, Nicole spent nearly two decades building and leading the ESG and corporate responsibility functions at Umpqua Bank. She led change initiatives to align the company’s purpose throughout its operations and community-based partnerships, including launching the company’s charitable foundation, ESG program, and standards-aligned stakeholders reporting. She and her team worked to integrate diversity and inclusion practices across the company, advance regulatory expectations through expanded financial access for small businesses and low-income consumers, and increase operational sustainability with new tools and insights.

A life-long learner, she is energized by big ideas, lively conversations, and new experiences. You can find her adventuring in the outdoors, taking in a new book or podcast, or traveling with her husband and two young children.
